<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grommet which can install a long component, such as a wiring harness, etc., so as to have the long component penetrate through the attachment plate of a body panel, etc. SOLUTION: This grommet has a 1st cylinder part 21, via which a wiring harness is inserted, and a 2nd cylinder part 22 which is connected to the 1st cylinder part 21 through a connection part 23. A groove 24, formed in the outer circumferential surface of the 2nd cylinder part 22, and flanges 25, formed between the groove 24 and the connection part 23, maintain protruding angles of the flanges 25 with respect to the 2nd cylinder part 22 by initial restoring actions of bending members, insert-molded in the base ends of the flanges 25. After the respective flanges 25 are deformed into a cylindrical shape with a diameter gradually reduced toward its tip by turning the 2nd cylinder part 22 inside out and inserted into an attachment hole 12, the 2nd cylinder part 22 is restored to the initial shape and is attached at a prescribed position.</p> |
