PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inspecting a 1st local number portability database 31 related to a 1st signal transfer point 22. SOLUTION: This method includes a step in which a 1st inspecting manager 26 transmits a request designating at least one transplanted telephone number to the 1st signal transfer point 22. A 1st inspecting agent 30 receives the request at the point 22, retrieves the designated transplanted telephone number in the 1st local number portability database 31 and obtains at least one corresponding local routing number, The agent 30 transmits the local routing number to the manager 26. The manager 26 compares the received local routing number with data being local to the manager 26. The manager 26 reports the results of the comparison.
