<p>The grip unit is carried by the swing arm linkage so that, by means of a sliding block moving in a contoured guide path, the grip is given a withdrawing and extending action at the ends and a tight curve in the centre of its run from the winding to the delivery stations. The purpose is to provide an automatic facility which does not increase machine size.</p>
