The test connector has an insulated housing (4) in which is an electrically conducting spring (28) loaded test rod (26), maintained in a rest position, is mounted in a sub assembly (8) which can slide ,with respect to the housing, between two positions. The sub assembly (8) has a rib (38) designed to cooperate with two slots (40), and can slide between a first inactive stable position to a second active stable position when its rib engages into either one of the slots (40).
