PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for qualifying a low level path for a demodulation path under the environment such as a weak electric field area. SOLUTION: A waveform distortion discriminator 80 can discriminate whether the waveform of a reception path expressed by a correlation profile such as an impulse response and a delay profile is distorted. The waveform distortion discriminator 80 can discriminate the presence of waveform distortion in the correlation profile on the basis of at least two correlation values. A path qualification section 82 qualifies a demodulation path to be used for demodulation from a plurality of paths included in the received signal on the basis of the comparison result by a comparator 18 and the discrimination result by the waveform distortion discriminator 80. A memory 16 stores the level and delay timing of the path qualified as the demodulation path by the path qualification section 82. Furthermore, the waveform distortion discriminator 80 may discriminate the presence of distortion of the waveform on the basis of a frequency transfer function and frequency characteristics obtained by applying Fourier transform to the waveform expressed in the impulse response and the delay profile.
