The invention concerns a portable apparatus for collecting small fruits such as olives, almonds and coffee cherries, consisting of a pole (1) fitted with a control handle (2), the distal end thereof being provided with a collecting head (3) comprising a plurality of mobile fingers (4), which are intended to be inserted into the foliage of the fruit trees to be picked, and a motorization (M) that makes it possible to move the finger assembly with the purpose of securing the branches of said trees and cause detachment of the fruits. The invention is characterized in that the collecting head (3) comprises a mobile comb consisting of a finger support (10) and a plurality of fingers (4) that are fixed thereon, said finger support (10) being mounted in such a way that it can move back and forth in a plane encompassing the length of said support and being coupled to drive means (M, TM) that make it possible to convey said movement.
