PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper support for a suspension suitable for an input separation type suspension system, providing novel construction for achieving a combination of vehicle control stability and hammering noise prevention at a high level. SOLUTION: A protruded end face 38 of elastic blocks 36, 46 constituting elastic protruded portions 26, 28 is provided with a recessed groove 40 extending in a radial direction and having a smaller depth than the protrusion height of the elastic blocks 36, 46. Protruded end faces 38, 48 of the elastic blocks 36, 46 are provided with a number of small elastic protrusions integrally formed thereon. As a result, the upper support has springing characteristics including effective nonlinear load-deflection characteristic.
