PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hydrogen storage alloy electrode excellent in both service capacity and durability. SOLUTION: This alloy is shown by the general formula of R2 (Ni7-x-y-zMnxFeyAz)n and also has a mixed crystal structure of two or more kinds in which the ratio of crystals having P63/mmc structure is 40 vol.% or more, where R: rare earth elements or misch metal; and A: at least one or more kinds among Al, Cu and Co, and 0.3<=x<=2.0, 0<y<=1.0, 0<=z<=2.0 and 1.0<=n<=1.3 are satisfied. The hydrogen storage alloy for an electrode excellent in both service capacity and durability to repeated charging and discharging can be obtained. |
