PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposal device capable of preventing the ventilation holes from being clogged with garbage and preventing the drying time from being prolonged. SOLUTION: The garbage disposal device is provided with a garbage container 2 storing garbage, a heater for heating and drying the garbage in the garbage container 2, a fan for supplying the air heated by the heater 6 into the garbage container 2, and a heater cover 20 covering the heater 6 and having a closed-end bottom shape. A plurality of ventilation holes 21 are formed at the bottom face of the heater cover 20, and an exhaust opening 27 is formed at the outer periphery respectively. The diameter or the breadthwise dimension of the ventilation hole 21 is set to 2-10 mm.
