PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scavenge passage for a stratified scavenge two-cycle engine, capable of sufficiently ensuring a guiding air amount further with a structure simple to reduce weight in small size. SOLUTION: This scavenge passage 20 is constituted by a first scavenge passage 21 communicating with a scavenge port 11 to be provided in an outer side from the sidewall surface of a cylinder 2 almost in parallel relating to an axial center of the cylinder 2 and a second scavenge passage 22 provided to have an expanse in almost a right angle direction with respect to the first scavenge passage 21 in an upper surface 8 of a crankcase 1 to have an opening part 23 communicating with a crank chamber 7 in a terminal part. The opening part 23 and the second scavenge passage 22 are formed by a recessed part 14 provided in the upper surface 8, a cylinder base surface 16 abutting to the upper surface 8, a cylinder skirt part 17, and a cylinder skirt extension part 18.
