PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical method for producing machine parts high in dimensional precision and excellent in corrosion resistance at a high production yield with high efficiency. SOLUTION: Free-cutting stainless steel containing one or more kinds among S, Se, Te, Pb and Bi as free-cutting components are used as the stock and subjected to warm forging at 400 to 600 deg.C to be formed into dimensions close to those of the shape of parts.
