PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for transmitting an e-mail to a portable mobile communication terminal equipment are provided to enable a mail server to transmit an e-mail to a portable mobile communication terminal by a two-way communication. CONSTITUTION: A mail receiving device(700) of the portable mobile communication terminal has a radio module(710) for receiving a radio RF signal sent through a radio network(600) and outputting mail data by demodulating the radio RF signal. A memory device(720) stores the mail data output from the radio module. A display device(760) displays the mail data which the user can recognize. A control unit(740) controls the storing of the mail data onto the memory unit and the displaying of the data on the display device. A key input device(730) inputs a selection signal of the user in the control unit according to the display of mail data. The mail data are divided into mail receipt notification data(721,722) and mail data(723). The display device is operated by a display device operating unit. The display device displays the mail notification contents and user selection column(770).
