A magnetic head polishing apparatus for polishing objects (70), i.e., magnetic heads arranged and held by jigs (50). The polishing apparatus includes a rotary polishing table (11) having a rotated polishing surface and a polishing apparatus body disposed movably with respect to the polishing surface. The polishing apparatus body includes a jig holding part (23) adapted for holding jigs and disposed below the polishing apparatus body and load exerting means for exerting predetermined loads on load exerting parts arranged in the longitudinal direction of the jigs (50). The load exerting means exerts loads in different direction on at least one of the load exerting parts so as to deform the jigs to predetermined shapes.
