RECYCLING DESULFURIZATION RECOVERING CALCIUM CARBONATE BY TREATING WASTE SLUDGE PRODUCED IN WET LIME SCRUBBING PROCESS WITH CARBON DIOXIDE AND AMMONIA

PURPOSE: A recycling desulfurization recovering calcium carbonate by treating waste sludge produced in wet lime scrubbing process with carbon dioxide and ammonia is provided which recovers calcium carbonate from scum produced when removing sulfur dioxide by treating combustion exhaust gas with calcium carbonate/calcium oxide slurry so as to reuse the recovered calcium carbonate. CONSTITUTION: The recycling desulfurization recovering calcium carbonate by treating waste sludge produced in wet lime scrubbing process with carbon dioxide and ammonia comprises the processes of absorbing sulfur oxides into the slurry, thereby removing the sulfur oxides contained in the slurry by passing a combustion exhaust gas through a calcium carbonate/calcium oxide slurry in a desulfurization tank; recycling calcium carbonate and producing ammonium sulfate at the same time by treating hydrate of the produced calcium sulfate, namely, a slurry with carbon dioxide and ammonia; and reusing the recycled calcium carbonate as an absorbent of sulfur dioxide and using the ammonium sulfate as fertilizers.
