PURPOSE: A balance maintaining method for mounting a door is provided to accord mounting points of a hinge part of a door and a vehicle body precisely in the door mounting line, thereby easily mounting the door to the vehicle body and improving the workability. CONSTITUTION: A balance maintaining method for mounting a door includes the steps of reading a kind of a door by an optical sensor, receiving a signal output from the optical sensor and sensing a signal to a PLC(Programmable Logic Controller), and lifting or lowering the door to a predetermined height according to the read kind of the door by a cylinder which receives a signal output from the PLC, wherein the PLC is input with weight values for various kinds of vehicles in advance for automatically controlling a pressure of the cylinder according to a weight of the door, thereby maintaining the vertical position of the door uniformly.
