PURPOSE: A glass melting furnace is provided which supplies a desired amount of air for burning to each heat accumulating chamber under an adequate condition. CONSTITUTION: The glass melting furnace comprises a melter(10), a pair of heat accumulating chambers(20a, 20b), a plural burner receiving parts(31a, 31b) and a plural burners(33a, 33b). It further comprises: (i) determining parts(35a, 35b) for the quantity of combustion air which individually detect the quantity of combustion air supplied into each heat accumulating chamber and set up a desired amount of combustion air supplied to each heat accumulating chamber; and (ii) combustion air supplying parts(25a, 25b) which supply a desired amount of combustion air to the heat accumulating chamber corresponding to each burner.
