PURPOSE: A fire retardant decorative finishing material for decorating a hallway or the inside ceiling and wall face of recreational places and the construction method are provided to serve naturally decorated place safe from fire and generation of poisonous gas by the fire. CONSTITUTION: The finishing material is prepared by the steps of: (i) fixing anchors vertically and horizontally to the inside ceiling and wall faces at regular intervals; (ii) fastening a metal netting body crumpled into shapes of irregularities of desired height to the each anchor into a shape of tunnel or dome by adhering the each end part to the wall and putting plaster on the netting body to be covered; (iii) spraying a first fire retardant material composed of 70-85wt% of handycoat light, 10-20wt% of cement, 2-5wt% of fiber glass and 4-8wt% of water to the irregularities of the body to more than 2mm of thickness and drying and hardening the first fire retardant layer; (iv) spraying a second fire retardant material composed of 70-82wt% of handycoat light, 14-22wt% of white cement and 4-8wt% of water to the irregularities of the first coated body to more than 2mm of thickness and drying and hardening the second fire retardant layer; (v) spraying a third fire retardant material composed of 50-70wt% of handycoat light, 20-40wt% of white cement and 5-18wt% of water with the rest weight of base colors to the irregularities of the first coated body to more than 2mm of thickness and drying and hardening the third fire retardant layer; and then (vi) forming a light and dark layer on the second fire retardant material by processing the irregularities of material with water colored paints.
