PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling an operation mode of a multi-mode mobile communication terminal is provided to input and output a signal of a corresponding operation mode by composing one active element and installing a switching circuit between a front end and a rear end of the active element for performing a switching operation according to the operation mode. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of first switching units(221-223) receive signals corresponding to various operation modes, and are switched according to an operation mode control signal for providing a corresponding operation mode input signal to an input terminal of an active element(240). A plurality of second switching units(250-253) are switched according to the operation mode control signal for outputting a corresponding operation mode output signal to an output terminal of the active element(240). A plurality of matching circuits(211-213) perform an impedance matching of a corresponding operation mode input signal and output the matched operation mode input signal to the first switching units(221-223). A plurality of matching circuits(271-273) perform the impedance matching of a corresponding operation mode output signal and outputs the matched operation mode output signal.
