PURPOSE: To provide a product development supporting method and a product development supporting device capable of developing a product in short time and at a low cost, and a recording medium. CONSTITUTION: In a step 100, the solid model S1 of a case part for a car air conditioner is produced. In a step 120, the solid model S2 of a space part in the case part is produced by using the model S1 of the case part. In a step 130, an analytical fault element is retrieved. That is, a place (analytical fault element) such as to take much time for operation processing is analyzed in the case of performing a flow analysis from the model S2 of the space part. In a step 140, the retrieved analytical fault element is eliminated. In a step 180, a boundary condition is applied to a solid model S3 for analysis that undergoes mesh division to analyze the flow analysis. In a step 200, analysis results are displayed.
