PURPOSE: A plastic split molded/joined intake manifold is provided to improve THE reliability and endurance of products by eliminating residual air in a portion connected by vibration welding. CONSTITUTION: An upper part(2) and a lower part(3) of an intake manifold(1) are individually injection-molded, and a recessed groove(6) and a protrusion(7) are formed longitudinally in flanges(4,5) of upper and lower parts. Plural air discharge holes(10) are formed from an inner port(8) to an outer port(9) longitudinally in the protrusion. Both sides are jointed with melting base metal by vibration welding in engaging the protrusion with the recessed groove. Air between the protrusion and the recessed groove is discharged through the air discharge hole with being pushed by molten base metal, and the air discharge hole is closed with base metal. The welding portion is reinforced with flowing air out through the air discharge hole for an intake manifold against impact.
