PURPOSE: A hinge wire protecting device is provided to prevent a wire controlling a gas cylinder applying force to a trunk lid to open and close the lid from interfering with the actions of the other elements from being detached from the proper position thereof and from being damaged by being interposed between the trunk lid and the other elements of a trunk. CONSTITUTION: A pipe type wire protecting device(10) adheres under a gas lift(30) for a wire(20) opening and closing a trunk lid to be installed therein. When a driver operates a trunk lid opening and closing switch, the operation of the gas lift is controlled by the wire connected with the opening and closing switch.
