PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver, with which a signal for adjusting the direction of an antenna can be stabilized. SOLUTION: In a satellite broadcasting receiving unit 1, when the receiving state of a parabolic antenna is adverse and a baseband signalϕB is low S/N, PCM demodulation is turned into asynchronous state, a flag signalϕF is turned into 'H' level and an output terminal 15 for CN ratio detecting voltage VCN is grounded by a switch 9. The receiving state can be exactly discriminated in comparison with a conventional device in which the CN ratio detecting voltage VCN is unstable, when the receiving state is defective.
