PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of making dry performance compatible with snow performance. SOLUTION: A sipe 20 having a zigzag shape is formed in the bottom of a lug groove 16 formed shallowerly than a peripheral direction groove. In the running on snow, snow enters the inside of the lug groove 16, the snow entered into the lug groove 16 is compressed, the shearing stiffness of the entered snow is increased to enhance traction performance. When a block-shaped land part 18 is separated from the snow surface, since the lug groove 16 is opened from the groove bottom of the sipe 20, the shallowly formed lug groove is easily opened, the snow entered into the lug groove 16 is easily separated. Snow clogging of the lug groove 16 can be prevented, and the block-shaped land part 18 can be bitten into the snow surface in the next running step. When the block- shaped land part 18 comes in contact with the snow surface, wall surfaces of the sipe 20 formed zigzag strongly come in contact with each other, and since the stiffness of the block-shaped land part 18 is increased, high dry performance can be obtained. |
