PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor position detection circuit where the number of lines for connecting a motor to a controller is reduced by setting a signal line for sending the position signal of a rotor to the controller from the motor and a power supply line to a common line. SOLUTION: Voltage at a positive electrode side is supplied to three- and single-phase position detection means 2 and 3 in a brushless DC motor 1 from a power supply circuit 9 in a controller 4 via a pull-up resistor 8 and a power supply line 10.
