PURPOSE: A method for reducing MAP(Mobile Application Part) traffic switching between a VLR-HLR(Visitor Location Register-Home Location Register) in call forwarding of a mobile switching system is provided to transmits an MAP signal to an MSC(Mobile Switching Center)/VLR directly managing an incoming number, if an incoming number and a call forwarding number are included an identical HLR, to reduce an MAP signal. CONSTITUTION: If call forwarding is requested in a call setup process for call forwarding in an MSC(Mobile Switching Center), an HLR(Home Location Register) managing an incoming number of an originating subscriber decides whether a call forwarding number is an HLR management number of an incoming subscriber. If so, the HLR of the incoming subscriber directly requests the setup of a path to a VLR(Visitor Location Register) managing a call forwarding number. |
