PURPOSE: A capstan motor is provided to be capable of being uniformly contacted with a shaft by previously preventing the deformation of inner surfaces of metal bearings generated during forcedly fitting the metal bearing into a holder. CONSTITUTION: The motor comprises a shaft, a rotor, a holder(20), upper/lower metal bearings(100,200) and a stator. The rotor is coupled to a bottom end of the shaft. The holder(20) is coupled to an outer surface of the shaft, and inclined taper grooves(21,22) are formed on upper/lower inner surfaces of the holder. The upper/lower metal bearings(100,200) are respectively inserted into the taper grooves(21,22) to cause the holder to be slid along the taper grooves(21,22). The inner surfaces of the bearings(100,200) contacted with the outer surface of the shaft are inclined by angles opposite to those of the taper grooves. The stator is coupled to a lower outer surface of the holder.
