PURPOSE: A method for inserting and extracting water mark of picture in audio signal and recording media for this are provided to minimize damage of original audio signal by inserting water mark signal of seal picture in audio signal and to confirm embezzlement of an original audio signal simply by extracting a water mark after generating a similar original. CONSTITUTION: A user selects a seal picture to be used as a water mark(11). An analog audio signal to be the original material is converted into digital audio signal(12). The water mark signal is generated from a seal picture and a secret key(13-15). Herein, the secret key may be a key to endow a user with or to endow each original essentially with. A period(or an inserted frequency) to be inserted to audio signal is set up if the water mark signal is gotten(16), and then the water mark signal is inserted to digital audio signal(17).
