PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing CV (compacted vermicular) graphite iron for engines is provided to increase mechanical properties such as tensile strength, yield strength, elastic modulus and rigidity, improve noise and vibration reducing effects, and performance and durability reliability of the engines by using CV graphite iron which is manufactured by compensating the magnesium content as a durable material for engines. CONSTITUTION: In a method for manufacturing a CV graphite iron using cast iron comprising a main constituent of iron, and carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulphur, chromium, molybdenum, copper and tin, the method comprises the processes of injecting molten metal having a temperature of 1500 to 1560 deg.C in which 0.020 to 0.028 wt.% of magnesium is additionally added to the above cast iron into a mold; and additionally re-adding magnesium the molten metal so that the magnesium content in the molten metal is in the range of 0.01 to 0.017 wt.%.
