PURPOSE: A wire rope having multi-layer strand core is provided, which is characterized by increasing softness owing to decreased diameter of an element wire than that of the existing, increasing at least 10% of breaking load, increasing abrasion resistance owing to increasing filling rate of the element wires by increasing numbers of the element wires, increasing fatigue resistance and increasing use life span owing to increasing continuous and uniform serviceability of grease to an outer layer strand in accordance with use of the wire rope. CONSTITUTION: The strand core(11) is comprised of three-layer structure of a centric strand(12), a middle strand(13) and the outer layer strand(14). The centric strand is the same strand with the outer layer strand of the wire rope, the outer layer strand of the rope covering a strand core. The structure is a parallel stranding structure. Number of the element wire comprising each strand is 25-32 strings.
