ZIGZAG MICRO STRIP PATCH ANTENNA

PURPOSE: A zigzag micro strip patch antenna is provided to reduce the effect of an electromagnetic wave generated on a communication terminal and achieve a high emissivity. CONSTITUTION: An RT-duroid 5880 substrate(10) is formed of polytetrafluoroethylene for glass micro fiber reinforcement and has a high permittivity of 2.33. A zigzag patch(20) is formed of a conductive metal installed on an upper surface of the substrate(10) by a photosensitive method. A triangular pad(30) is a conductive metal and formed on a side of the patch. Width of the substrate(10) is 25mm and length thereof is 17mm. Diameter of the patch is 12mm and length of the patch is 1/8λ. A total length of a strip reaches 4/3λ. The micro strip having the length is inserted in a zigzag form into the patch having the length of 1/8λ. A zigzag antenna is mountable on an inside of a terminal as stated above, such that emitted patterns, gains, and bands are improved, adverse effect of an electromagnetic wave on a user's head is minimized, and size reduction of antenna is achieved.
