PURPOSE: A suction muffler fixing structure for hermetic compressor to firmly assemble the head cover and suction muffler, while preventing the coupled state from being loosened during use by the heat expansion of the head cover. CONSTITUTION: A suction muffler fixing structure comprises a head cover(10); a suction muffler(30) coupled to a valve assembly through the head cover, and which reduces noise of refrigerant and transfers the refrigerant to the valve assembly; protrusions(25,25') formed integrally with the head cover, and which press the suction muffler; and an embossing section(35,35') arranged at the suction muffler to correspond to the protrusion formed at the head cover, and which is pressed by the protrusion upon assembly of the head cover and the suction muffler. Since the embossing section and protrusion tightly contact with each other, a firmly coupled state of the suction muffler and head cover is maintained.
