AIR CONDITIONER WITH REMOTE CONTROLLER FOR CONTROLLING PLURAL INDOOR UNITS

PURPOSE: An air conditioner with remote controller for controlling plural indoor units is provided to achieve an aesthetic enhancement of indoor unit and improved user convenience by allowing a plurality of indoor units to be controlled through a single remote controller. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner includes a plurality of indoor units, and a remote controller(200) for controlling indoor units. Each of indoor units is equipped with a memory unit for storing a predetermined signal output from the remote controller. The remote controller includes a remote controller control unit(210) for performing data operation and controlling input/output signals; a display unit(22) for displaying operational state of the remote controller; a remote controller signal transmitting unit(23) for amplifying data and transmitting the amplified data to the indoor unit; a key input unit(24) for transferring user input to the remote controller control unit; an indoor unit address set unit(260) for transmitting discriminating address memory signals to indoor units so that different addresses are stored in each memory unit of indoor units; and a remote controller control address selection unit(250) for selecting one address from among addresses stored in each memory of indoor units, so that only the indoor unit corresponding to the selected address receives signal output from the remote controller.
