PURPOSE: Provided is a powdered Isodon japonicus for the anti-oxidation of meat products which needs no separate extract process of essential oil ingredient and has no toxicity, and whose anti-oxidation effect is better than the existing synthetic antioxidants. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing powdered Isodon japonicus for the anti-oxidation of meat products is to dry Isodon japonicus to have water content 8-15%(wt/wt) at 10-30deg.C and pulverize in 10-30 mesh. The desirable content of powdered Isodon japonicus to be added to meat products is 0.025-1%(wt/wt).
