PURPOSE: A centralized monitoring and remote operating method for an optical transmission apparatus is provided to implement the overall centralized monitoring and remote operating function for a transmission network by extending the concept of operation and management of the transmission network currently operated in unit of local offices. CONSTITUTION: Components information are collected, stored in a database and transmitted to an operating terminal by connecting to an optical transmission apparatus in the first step. Warnings for the connected optical transmission apparatus are collected, are stored in the database and are reported to the operating terminal in the second step. Upon a request for the remote operation of the connected optical transmission apparatus, a remote operation response is transceived with the operating terminal in the third step. |
