PURPOSE: A polyester film is provided to ensure favorable abrasion-resistance and smooth and/or lubricating ability with no generation of void on film by comprising organic silicone particles having desired depression rate of 30-70%. CONSTITUTION: The polyester film comprises 0.05-3.0 wt.% of organic silicone particles of mean diameters of 0.01-3.0 micrometers such as polysiloxane comprising a repeated unit represented by£RnSiO(4-n)/2|including at least 15 mol.% of the unit where n is l or less (wherein n is integer of 0-3, R is substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon group having carbon atom directly bonded to Si atom) and having 30-70% depression rate defined as a percent ratio of depressed surface area to total surface area of the particles, based on total weight of the film. The film further includes inorganic or organic particles selected from a group consisting of calcium phosphate, magnesia, calcium carbonate, silica, kaolin, mica, talc, titanium dioxide and alumina.
