PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the truble caused by difficulty in objectively judging whether alignment is proper or not in the alignment using alignment marks at the time of mounting a flexible board and an IC for driving to a liquid crystal panel. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal device having a first substrate 1 and a flexible board 15 being two members to be joined by being aligned with each other, alignment marks 26 in which misalignment error amounts are indicated by changing their widths in two steps on the first substrate 1 having plural lines of electrode patterns 12 for external joining, and the external size of the flexible printed board 15 having wiring patterns 14 is aligned within the range of the aligning marks 26 to prevent short circuits due to deviations of the electrode patterns 12 and wiring patterns 14.
