PURPOSE: A method for uniformly electroplating a plating layer of an edge part is provided to prevent growth of dendrite of the edge part of a steel sheet and uniformly plating the edge part and the center part thereof by modifying an existing edge mask used in a horizontal electroplating facility into a new form. CONSTITUTION: In a method for electroplating a steel sheet in which a steel sheet is plated using a plating solution spray nozzle at an edge mask between insoluble anodes, the method for uniformly electroplating a plating layer of an edge part is characterized in that an electrically conductive material is used as the edge mask, paint is covered or a plastic non-conductive material is inserted between the anode and the opposite surface so that conduction between the anode and the edge mask is prevented, and inclination is provided to the opposite edge mask to the steel sheet so that a distance between the steel sheet and the edge mask become closer as it goes to the edge area of steel sheet.
