摘要 PURPOSE: A phase locked loop having a 1/4 square non-linear compensation circuit is provided to stabilize the system and make the loop have a pulse of a constant pulse width by compensating the non-linearity of the voltage control oscillator. CONSTITUTION: In the phase locked loop having a 1/4 square non-linear compensation circuit, a phase frequency detecting unit(100) receives a reference frequency from an external source and an output frequency from a voltage control oscillator(102), and detects the difference of phase and frequency between the signals. A filtering unit(101) eliminates the high frequency element from the output of the phase frequency detecting unit(100). A 1/4 square non-linear compensation unit(701) compensates the non-linearity of the voltage(Vc) from the filtering unit(101). The voltage control oscillator(102) produces an output frequency(Fout) proportionate to the output voltage(Vcom) of the compensation unit(701).
