METHOD OF MANUFACTURING BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide method of manufacturing a battery having no mis- engagement in a battery using an electrolytic cell and a lid made from materials enabled to be heat weld such as polypropylene resin or the like. SOLUTION: After an electrode plate group 2 is housed into an electrolytic cell 1, a housing direction mark 3 for marking the housing direction of the electrode plate group 2 is formed at a predetermined position of the electrolytic cell 1. Pole marks 8 associated with a positive terminal opening 9 and a negative terminal opening 10 are formed at a lid 7 and the lid 7 is fitted into a position directed to the housing direction of the electrode plate group 2. Therefore, the electrolytic cell 1 and the lid 7 can be correctly fitted with each other.
