PURPOSE: An exhaust gas recirculation system is provided to reduce the generation of nitrogen oxide while improving performance through receiving exhaust gas in an exhaust manifold with air in an intake stroke. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas recirculation system is formed by an intake valve at one side of an engine for inputting air to the engine; an exhaust valve on the engine for discharging exhaust gas in a cylinder to outside; locker arms at upper portions of the intake valve and the exhaust valve for opening the valves through pushing valve systems of the valves; a first link member(31) installed between a valve stem of the intake valve and the locker arm; and a second link member(32) installed at an upper portion of the locker arm operating the exhaust valve. In an opened state of the intake valve, the first link member is pushed for pushing the exhaust valve. Then, the exhaust valve is opened to reversely flow the exhaust gas in an exhaust manifold. In an opened state of the exhaust valve, the second link member is located at an upper portion of the locker arm operating the exhaust valve for conveniently driving the exhaust valve.
