<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the insulation reliability of a stick type ignition coil. SOLUTION: A columnar central core 18 is disposed in the central part of a cylindrical coil case 11, a primary winding 20 and a secondary winding 22 being concentrically arranged on the outer periphery side of the core 18, a core positioning member 16 which positions the central core 18 in the central part of the coil case 11 disposed in the upper part of the central core 18, and the coil case 11 is filled with an insulating resin 24. A thermal stress relaxing member 30 which adhering strength to the insulating resin 24 (an epoxy resin) is weak and is easily peelable is provided on the upper face part of the positioning member 16. With this construction, the adhesion of the thermal stress relaxing member 30 to an insulating resin 25 is easily broken away by thermal stress, and the thermal stress does not act on from the insulating resin 24 to the upper face part of the core positioning member 16, which makes it possible to prevent occurrence of cracks causing a reduced insulation in the insulating resin filling layer 24a on the lower face side of the core positioning member 16.</p> |
