PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which is an image forming device of an inline system adopting vertical arrangement and is low in exchange fre quencies of developers having high use frequencies while adequately maintaining superiority in the grade of image quality and the floor area of the device. SOLUTION: The multicolor image forming device 100 has photoreceptors 1a to 1d which are discrete by each of respective colors in order to form the images of four colors; yellow (Y), magenta(M), cyan (C), and black (K) and an image forming station acting on the respective photoreceptors. A moving route (transporting route) of a transfer member relating to image formation, i.e., an intermediate transfer belt 27 is formed upright. The photoreceptor 1d relating to the image formation of the black having the high use rate of the developers and the image forming station 9Bk acting on the photoreceptor are disposed in the uppermost position of the transporting route. A developer housing section 54 of a developing cartridge 5d is upsized, by which the amount of the black developers included in the developing cartridge 5d is increased. |
