PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a burner, which is easy to assemble and has the high accuracy of the position of a burner port member by improving the burner of press formed structure with thick and thin fuel combustion. SOLUTION: The burner comprises a combustion tube main body 2, a pair of side plate members 3 and a burner port member 5. The burner port member 5 is arranged in the space between the inner surface plates 2 and 3 of the side plate members 3. When the burner port member 3 is placed at the proper position between the side plate members 3, protrusions 40 and 41 formed on the burner port member 5 engage with openings 21 and 22. At the assembling of a burner 1, the right and left side plate members 3 and the combustion tube main body 5 are fit together before being joined by spot welding and then the burner port member 5 is thrust into a groove 48. As the edge side of the protrusion 41 of the burner port member 5 has a sharp angle, the protrusion 41 is superior in stretching the inner surface plate 23 of the side plate member 3 at the insertion and the protrusion 41 can be thrust into the groove 48 smoothly. When the protrusions 40 and 41 engage with the openings 21 and 22 arranged to the side plate members 3, the burner port 5 cannot be pulled out easily, as either of the upper surface sides 40a and 41a of the protrusions 40 and 41 is vertical to a main body 43.
