PURPOSE: A heat exchanger having an auxiliary evaporator is provided to improve efficiency of a condenser and to increase air-conditioning efficiency by cooling a condenser connected with an auxiliary evaporator forcibly. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary evaporator(6) is mounted on a side of a condenser(2). The auxiliary evaporator is connected to a three-way valve(7) mounted between a receiver drier(4) and an evaporator(5). The outlet of the auxiliary evaporator is connected with a compressor(1) through a check valve(8). The three-way valve is connected with a controller(9) having a timer(10). The controller is connected with a temperature sensor(11) for detecting temperature of external air and with a power switch(12) of a heat exchanger for operating the three-way valve. If the temperature sensor detects high temperature of external air and the condenser does not radiate heat smoothly, the power switch of the heat exchanger is turned on. The controller drives the three-way valve during set time at the timer to feed refrigerant to the auxiliary evaporator from the receiver drier. The auxiliary evaporator evaporates the refrigerant and supplies the evaporated cold air to the condenser. Therefore, the cold air cools the condenser through a radiating fan(3). Herein, the check valve prevents the refrigerant from flowing back.
