PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize power management control suitable for a personal computer(PC) allowed to be used by radio remote control from a portable equipment. SOLUTION: The PC 1 has a radio communication function and can execute radio communication with a portable telephone set 2. In a state establishing a radio link with the telephone set 2, a field strength level is measured under the control of a field strength monitoring part 201. When the field strength level is measured, distance relation between the PC 1 and a user or the environments of the PC 1 and the user can be discriminated. When the measured field strength level is dropped to a prescribed level, the PC 1 is automatically set up to a power saving state. When the measured field strength is raised in the power saving state, the PC 1 is restored t0 a normal operation state. |
