DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS DRIVING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of performing address discharge stably with a low voltage and its driving method. SOLUTION: In this display device, the barrier potential difference between a scanning electrode 12 and a sustaining electrode 13 is adjusted and, also, the barrier potential difference between the scanning electrode 12 and an address electrode 11 is adjusted independently from this adjustment by applying a setup pulse SP to the scanning electrode 12 and by applying a setup pulse ST to the sustaining electrode 13 in a setup period prior to a first subfield.
