In a Hooke's type universal joint the trunnions 22 of the intermediate member are carried in closed-end bearing cups 18 welded to crossarmed metal plate members 24 secured by bolts 42 to the yoke arms 14 to allow slight axial movement of the cups but prevent their rotation. Strips 46 with upturned ends 48 lock the bolts 42. |
