BIODEGRADABLE RESIN COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A biodegradable resin composition is provided to increase compatibility of the composition with starch and aliphatic polyester by comprising the aliphatic polyester and starch and ionomer resin and adding diglycidyl ether or dicarbonic anhydride. CONSTITUTION: The biodegradable resin composition comprises 100 weight parts of a mixture consisting of ionomer and aliphatic polyester in a ratio of 1:99-40:60; 5-150 weight parts of starch; 1-30 weight parts of a starch plasticizer; and 0.1-10 weight parts of aliphatic dicarbonic anhydride or diglycidylether or mixture thereof. The ionomer is a compound bonded with carboxylic acid by the reaction of alpha, beta unsaturated carbonic ester copolymer and uni-, di- or tri-value metal hydroxides. The method for preparing the composition comprising introducing the mixture, the starch, the starch plasticizer, the dicarbonic anhydride or diglycidylether or their mixture into a side inlet part and extruding the blended material at 80-160 deg.C. and under a screw speed of 60-200ppm.
