AC PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL WITH FLOATING TRANSPARENT ELECTRODE

PURPOSE: An AC plasma display panel with a floating transparent electrode is provided to improve discharge efficiency by reducing the area of a transparent electrode. CONSTITUTION: A couple of bus electrode(22A,22B) is formed within one discharge cell to receive voltage. A floating electrode(23) is formed between the bus electrode couple(22A,22B). The voltage is not applied to the floating electrode(23). The floating gate(23) is induced electromagnetically by the bus electrode couple(22A,22B). The floating electrode(23) is located on a discharge center portion. The floating electrode(23) has the first region formed toward the discharge center portion and the second region formed toward a discharge edge portion.
