PURPOSE: An originating service method of a mobile communication terminal using a character string is provided to increase the variety of the originating service method, and offer an originating service by the character string stored in advance even when an originating part does not know a telephone number of an incoming part. CONSTITUTION: The character string is stored in a memory(200). An originating message is generated and transmitted from a base station to an HLR(Home Location Register)(210,220). If the transmission of the originating message has failed(230), it is transmitted again using an origination continuation message(240). The character string in the originating message is searched(250). The telephone number of an incoming part is selected(260), and then an incoming target is determined by the selected telephone number thereof(270). If the incoming target is a common telephone number(280), a call is made to the common telephone number(290). If the incoming target is not the common telephone number(280), the call is made to a WAP(Wireless Application Protocol)(300), and the Internet web site is accessed(310).
